Dip the cotton tip of the stick into 70% isopropyl alcohol or BP-grade surgical spirit. Remove excess by gently tapping the stick against the rim of the container — excess alcohol dripping can cause uncontrolled ignition. Ignite the tip using a lighter or match. Quickly rotate the burning tip inside the glass cup to heat the air. Immediately invert the cup and press firmly onto the skin to create suction. After use, extinguish the tip fully before storing.
